Hey There!
Im Emileigh (em-uh-lee) Anderson (normal pronunciation)
I am a daughter, sister, girlfriend and friend. I grew up in Frederick County, MD where I learned the in's and out's of farm life from friends and family (although I never lived on a farm- my highschool was just in a corn field). I grew up on the water fishing in exotic locations and catching crabs in my grandparents backyard. The water is where everything becomes still for me. I enjoy sitting outside my boyfriends family farm in the mornings, gazing over the calm bay waters drinking coffee with processed creamer (and loving every sip).
You can say my passion for Maryland comes from within. I attended The University of Maryland, College Park where I received my Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Planning, and Preservation. I spent 3 years at UMD and can honestly say 80% of that time was spent in the library until 3am.
Its rare to find me sitting still. I have many hobbies and like a true artist, I move around from project to project to find new creative outlooks. I fill my days with caring for animals on the farm, painting a new furniture piece, designing a new space or taking photos of loved ones.
VISIT DEEP CREEK
Deep creek is a man made lake in Oakland, Maryland. Deep creek offers everything for every season. We vacation up there frequently and take advantage of their skiing and snowboarding as well as their water sports in the summertime.
VISIT ASSATEAGUE ISLAND
Assateague island is home of the wild horses that run across the bay! These animals aren't shy, and they know you have food. Seeing the horses run across the bay to the island is magical
ORDER AN ORANGE CRUSH WITH MD CRABS!
Crabs are Marylanders pride and joy. You thought you had a MD crab in another state? Think again. These juicy boys (or girls) come out hot and you better sprinkle old bay all over it. Ask your waiter or waitress for an orange crush with your crabs. The orange crush consists of freshly squeezed orange juice, vodka, triple sec and sprite. Ask for whipped vodka to make it a creamsicle crush!
VISIT WASHINGTON DC!
Okay so you've seen it in the movies, you've seen it on the news but you truly haven't experienced DC in its entirety. DC has beautiful museums and gardens on every street. Looking for a relaxing evening? roam the DC streets and get a bite from a food truck and head over to the Lincoln Memorial. Watch the sunset on the steps while enjoying your dinner- its breathtaking.
